Where the platform is going, in horizons
Anything unreleased carries expected or planned with a year, and nothing carries a committed date. Customers ask about the roadmap in almost every conversation, usually before they ask about features, so it is here. The Lake MES Platform is available now and grows with every release.
Funded, dated, and planned at the release level. We sign our name to these.
- Shop-Trak Mobile: labor capture and Visual Dispatch in a browser on a phone, a tablet or a shop-floor screen. Shipping since the 2026 SP02 release.
- The next direct product-to-product integration, Shop-Trak and Machine-Trak: machine states and cycle counts on the Shop-Trak job, synchronized with the operator's downtime. Expected by the end of 2026.
- Quality-Trak, the quality and change capability, inside SyteLine. Available now.
- Monthly releases against fixed dates. Each SyteLine release is tested by Lake, then the platform release follows.
Shaped and architected, with the sequence set. Delivery is being validated release by release.
- Vantage, Your Command Center: Job 360, the live shop view and role-based command centers. Expected early 2027.
- Recording quality transactions from the Shop-Trak window, and the scrap entry that opens the quality record by itself. In development; planned 2027.
- Cost on the open job: labor today where you use direct job costing, machine and quality cost as the products come together. Planned.
- The machine that files its own paperwork: a machine condition opens the work order and writes the cost back. Planned 2027.
- AI across the platform that flags jobs at risk of going late and cost drifting from standard, with a person deciding. Planned 2027.
- Performance reviews written by the floor, and a skills and qualification service across the platform. Planned.
Built or substantially built, and not on a release schedule. Listed separately because a horizon implies a date and these do not have one.
- The document plug-in that reads inbound supplier email against SyteLine context. Built, paused, and any restart depends on a partner team ramping up.
- A released revision that walks the bill of material to every open job that carries the item.
- Ask about any of these and you will get the same answer you are reading: real, and not scheduled.
Working backwards from the target experience, and shown that way deliberately.
- Predictive maintenance, which is the single most requested thing from the machine data install base.
- Reach beyond one ERP, starting from the machine connector footprint.
- Workforce and shift scheduling, which is a deliberate partner seam rather than something to build.
- Product data and bill of material change upstream of the floor.
- Environmental and safety records on the same engine as quality.
- A floor where the operator barely touches a terminal.
Assembling
Some of this was built here and some of it was acquired: Machine-Trak came in as Freedom IoT and Quality-Trak as ProTrack, both in 2026. Both are brought onto the platform, or they do not ship. Ask about the provenance of any component and you get an answer.
Funded
Backed by a permanent hold software owner. Acquisitions closed rather than promised. Releases monthly. This is paid-for work on a schedule.
Restrained
Keep what works, extend what is close, coexist where you are invested, and replace only when you are ready. Lake will not disparage what you own or who you bought it from.
Six promises about how we describe the platform
- Claim a capability that does not ship, or put a committed date on something unreleased
- Claim calibration or gage management in Quality-Trak
- Claim maintenance management, which is the one classic function this platform does not cover
- Tell you machine effectiveness is available in week one when what is available in week one is utilization
- Disparage the products you already run or the partner who sold them to you
- Publish a benchmark we cannot source
