Activating Doc-Trak
The right document finds the work. Activation connects Doc-Trak to SyteLine, sets up where your documents live, and starts your first saved and emailed documents.

- Initial setup
- Doc-Trak parameters, polling, Doc-Trak FLEX and Microsoft sign-in.

- SyteLine or Windows security, and restrictions on manual attachments.
- Standard repository
- A network or file system storage location.
- Archiving plan
- Folder and archiving structure.
- Starter rules
- Up to two drag-and-drop saving rules, two print and email profiles for standard documents, and two virtual rules.
- Utilities
- Doc-Trak utilities, the polling request utility and license count.
- Train-the-trainer
- FLEX basics, creating and viewing attachments, and generating and emailing reports.

Products new to your account include a standard installation. Products you already run carry no included installation, except a reinstall when you move to Infor's multi-tenant cloud. Tuning and custom work are quoted before they start.
Before we start: what you need in place
We check these with you before we schedule. Anything not in place yet goes on your checklist, and we schedule once it's ready.
Systems and software
SyteLine, license and workstations
- SyteLine version
- SyteLine 9 or later.
- Doc-Trak license
- A license for the Doc-Trak version being installed.
- Service account
- The account that runs your Infor Framework services, used to install the web server components.
- User workstations
- Doc-Trak FLEX on user PCs, plus a PDF viewer.
Servers and access
On your servers or in the cloud
- On your servers
- Administrator access to the SyteLine utility or application server. Installation restarts Infor services, so plan a short window with users logged out.
- On Infor's multi-tenant cloud
- A Windows server for Lake services built to our minimum requirements, with an SSL certificate and a matching DNS (A) record.
- Cloud accounts
- Your tenant ID, a SyteLine user with an automation license, a domain account with "Log on as a service," and an Infor OS service account and authorized app (ION API). We can create the last two with you.
- Remote access
- Remote access to the servers for our team.
Your team and documents
Decided before setup starts
- Doc-Trak administrator
- One person who owns the setup and stays on as your administrator.
- Archive location
- Where documents will be stored: a network file share, SharePoint, or an Azure file share mounted as a drive.
- Existing files
- Where your current documents live today, for virtual rules.
- Starter documents
- The first documents to save, and the first to print or email.
- Outbound email
- An email server Doc-Trak can send through, if you'll email documents.
Your account team confirms these requirements against your SyteLine version and hosting before your activation is scheduled.
